Written by George Clason and originally published in 1926, “The Richest Man in Babylon” is a foundational book when it comes to understanding money. Clason originally published these stories as a series of pamphlets designed to teach an axiom about investing or saving such as “pay yourself first.” His parables are short and easily accessible making this a great first read for kids in middle or high school.
After nearly 100 years, Clason’s work deserves its place as a mainstay in the financial cannon and I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to start their journey to financial literacy.
The Northstar Team will share books from our reading library each month—some we've found useful and others maybe not so much. These recommendations aim to help you build your financial savvy. Have any book suggestions? Email us at admin@nsfmanagement.com.
